Last week, José Guerra, Orlando Ochoa, Jesus Rojas and Oscar Garcia Mendoza demanded before the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court the annulment of Articles 113 and 114 of the Law of the Central Bank together with the transient provision that “ordered” the BCV (Central Bank of Venezuela) transfer $ 6,000 million its international reserves to Fonden (Fondo Nacional para el Desarrollo Nacional). The argument is based on the position that the articles violate the autonomy of BCV, which is enshrined in the Constitution.
